Paper Quality

The first step is obtaining quality printed flyers is to use a heavier weight paper stock. Upgrading from normal copy paper will provide crisper images and prevent ink run if using an Ink Jet printer. There are various weight card stocks available. Use a heavier stock for post cards. Glossy or colored paper also adds to the over all "Look" of the flyer.

Header & Footers

Pages printed off the Internet can include information on the top(Header) and bottom(Footer) of the printed page. This information includes the page's title and its web site address. These notations can detract from the overall quality of the printed flyer.

To remove these comments, select "File" then "Page Setup" from the Windows Menu Bar.

In the option window that pops up, make sure any text comments are deleted from input fields titled "Header" and "Footer."  They should be empty like the example. Then click "OK."

Print Quality

For the best results, make sure the print quality is set on the highest possible setting. As with the Header and Footer issue, select "File", then "Print" from the Windows Menu Bar. The first window provides the option to designate a printer. (Step One)   Note - Business offices may have a number of printers to choose from, highlight the one that will provide the best output.

From the first window, then select "Preferences." (Step Two)  This will being up a second window.

In the second window, under the Setup tab, select the highest print quality displayed. (Printer software will vary, but the steps are similar.) Once the change is made, click OK. This closes the second window. Make sure the paper is ready in the printer, then select print from the first window.
